Too Long.....

Wow.... so it's been awhile since we have posted... Just been busy with the baby shower and cupcake orders. We have 57 days left and we go back to the dr Nov 8th. We found out at the last dr appt she is a week ahead of schedule.
She is very active and I believe she has a schedule now which is a good thing, lets hope she keeps it after she is born. I feel huge and it has become harder to do things but I continue to try and get my walks in and workout where I can.

We had a great time at the babyshower and thanks to everyone that came and made it a fun time. We did get bad news the day of that a very dear family friend and the baby's godfather had passed away. You will always be remembered and loved Big Norm......

So I haven't been sleeping well, I get up like every hour it seems to run to the bathroom. It's so hard to get comfy when there are only a few ways you can sleep safely.
I dont think there is really anything new going on, we just found out we will be getting our maternity pics done in about 2 weeks and I am really excited about that......

Well......... I can't think of anything else to type so I will go and relax and wait for my husband to get home... I'm sure I will be updating as new things pop into my head but until then everyone have a wonderful night.

Rambling Update

Here we are less than 100 days away from meeting our littl girl and I'm super excited!!! I talk to her everyday and we have a nice conversation before I go to sleep, or I hope its a conversation not her just kicking me to tell me to leave her alone and stop messing with her beauty sleep. Since I know there will be plenty of time for that during the teenage years.
The worries are running through my mind, so much needs to be done before she gets here but she is only 6 and a half paychecks away. In that time we not only have to move but still have to find a place that meets our space and budget requirments. This has been the toughest thing to do out of the whole process. Plus we are still stocking up on baby supplies. The baby shower is about a month away, we will do the majority of the shopping after we see what we get at the shower.
We have already bought her crib, matress, dresser, and changing table. We have onesies(that I put my/our added touch too),
some other random clothes and baby things, the wife has crochet tons of things from hats to booties, she is now working on a sweater for the baby. There is so much more to buy but we are running out of space to store it, so we have slowed some but we try and buy something every time we go shopping or when we get some extra room in our budget we order something for our little girl.
We had a doctors appointment last week and everything seems to be right no track, the next one the wife gets to drink the lovely drink for her glucose test. So I feel for her, and plan to take her out to a special lunch afterwards. I love feeding her cravings, knowing she is satisfied make me happy, but in less than 100 days she is going to have to share some since I will now be wrapped around 2 girls fingers...which im sure she will have no problem with.
Well I thought I had a main goal when I started to write this post, but seems as if ramblings the best I can do, at least im passing some time here at work on this slow day. I hope to tune this blog into a family blog and start doing more here than just updates every so often. Well looks like its time to focus on what they pay me for. Until next time....

5 Months and Counting....

As I set here waiting for the Misses to finish her orientation for her new work at home gig, I have time to reflect and write a bit. I was going to write a blog about the new chinese spot we ate at the other day for my blog Twice As Good but decide that I'd write one for the baby blog, seeing as I'm sure she would like to read them as she gets older and well because I have slacked off from writing for awhile.

Let's see what's new well first off ITS A GIRL, I can't say that enough. She has an amazing name already combinding something old and new. We are both super happy about all the pink and dainty things ahead in our future and it should be great for the next 13 years at least then I will have boys to worry about well they will have me to worry about too, but I.....well me and my 2 sons will cross that bridge when time comes.

For now its princess this, and sugar that and let's see how tight she can wrap me around her finger. I'm getting excited to meet her, we have already got the baby book started, and bought a few outfits, couple of hand knitted booties, but not one single toy. I'm so torn on what I want her first toy to be its starting to bother me, but I still have some time about 4.5 months to be exact.

We have finished the invites to "Baby-Ween" our halloween inspire costume baby shower and party. The food list is about done as are the games and all the fun things surrounding that. We are going to take a tour of the hospital soon along with some classes which should be a good time.

I've started planning our BabyMoon, a little get away for me and the misses before our little bundle of sleep-stealing-no-mommy-daddy-time-diaper-changing
-joy comes... I'm thinking D.C. If the price is right, just gotta make sure all the baby stuff is bought and theirs plenty of funds left over. If not then its south florida for a weekend, something is better than nothing.......right?

Well as the Blackberry just alerted me the battery is about dead, so in conclusion ITS A GIRL with an awesome name picked out, Baby-Ween is a must attend event for this October, Help me with first toy ideas, ??Donate to the Babymoon fund??, and did I mention ITS A GIRL....

I leave you with an updated picture of the Misses and her bump, already into her 5th month!!!

Thanks for reading my rambles!

It's a Girl.......

We went to the doctors July 19th to make sure everything was good and to find out what we were having. We get into the sono room and she immediately asks us if we want to know the sex. She starts checking my cervix to make sure everything is good then moves on to find out what we were having. After a few pokes on the belly the baby finally moved enough for us to see there was no penis and we asked her like 2-3 times to make sure it was a girl and she confirmed it...... We are having a baby GIRL.....

It will be nice to have a girl bc we already have 2 wonderful boys around the house and now she will have older brothers to protect her. We were so excited when we found out it was a girl. Now we get to start our registry and find so many cute girl things.

Our friend Alyssa and my husband are putting together a Baby-Ween shower/halloween party. They just put the deposit down for the club house they are using..... I am sooooooo excited!!

Sick, Sick, Sick......

Well I have been sick for a few days now and it is so hard to get over being sick when you are limited on what you can take, 1/2 Tylenol for the headache/head pressure and Vick's vapor rub for the coughing and the stuffy nose..... Well its been like 3 days and I'm starting to feel better, at least my throat isn't hurting anymore.... I hate that the most, I will take the stuffiness and head congestion over a sore throat any day. My wonderful husband has been there taking care of me even though he is sick himself. Today is the first day he went back to work so I'm going to take it easy and watch movies with the boys.

So a couple days back I was so congested and my husband suggested I go and take a nice warm bath so I was running my bath and realized we ran out of bath salts and bubbles.... then low and behold I found some mocha bath salts my mom gave me a long time ago. So I poured them in as the water ran and the little bit I could smell filled the room of mocha goodness.... After the tub filled I decided to get in and lay down and chill and as I was lying there I had this weird feeling in my stomach. I didn't think much of it maybe gas but then it happened again and I realized it wasn't gas it was the flutter of our baby moving in my belly... So at 13 weeks I felt fluttering of our little peanut. I immediately told my husband and he thought I was joking but I assured him I was not. Of course I have not felt the baby move since then but I have been keeping a feel out for that little movement.

Well we have a Doctor's appt July 19th for them to measure my cervical length and to let us know what we are having, oh and we will be getting the test results to the tests they performed at the last visit.

Babies 2nd Pics.....

So I went to the Doctor on the 21st and so far the tests are good, nothing to be worried about. We did get to see our little peanut again. She/he has flipped over to the other side and is growing perfectly and the heart rate is 165 bpm this time. We will get to find out what we are having on July 19th and we are so excited...... We are praying for a happy healthy baby girl but we will be happy as long as the baby is happy and healthy.
I will be in my 2nd trimester next Mon (6/27) and I will be 13 weeks.

Looks like the baby is chilling with hands behind her/his head.
I'm feeling much better. I can now do things like walk for a good amount of time and drink oj without feeling blah or overly tired.
So we went to a friends wedding last weekend and it was nice, hot but nice. They had a beach wedding in Sarasota Florida. I bought a cute little pink dress that shoed off my baby bump nice and I promised pics so here they are.....

Feeling better......

Well I only have 1 more week until the first trimester is over. I am starting to feel better, my nausea has gone away some but still comes and goes and I can drink oj again..... Yay! I go back to the dr next Tuesday (6/21) for some important tests, hope all comes out good.

I have a baby bump showing and I started doing maternity shopping and came across some really cute stuff. I have a wedding I'm going to Sat (6/18) and found this pretty pink dress that looks great with my baby bump.

So be on the look out for new pictures. I was so excited to see our little peanut last week. Cravings are getting stronger, but the Hubby is good at keeping them satisfied and bringing my home a special yummy surprise every night. Well time to go make some dinner for the boys in my life.

Babies 1st pics......

Well we went to our first Doctors appointment yesterday, and we found out everything looks healthy and normal. I (the husband) also went for a nuclear stress test and everything came back fine too, still searching for the cause of my chest pains. Besides that though it was a happy day, we got to hear our babies heart beat (like a techno song) at 175 beats per minute. Which was amazing, can’t wait to go back and see the progress. We go every 4 weeks now and we switch a week every Monday so she (the wife) is now 10 weeks 1 day, and our due date is officially 1/1/2012 now to make sure we deliver seconds after on new years is my plan. I know I have no control over it, that’s all in our Lords hands but me being as competitive as I am I'm aiming for the first baby born in Tampa if not the whole USA and who knows maybe even take over the world isn’t that right Pinky!!

Thanks for your time...

Ugh.....

I'm so puky, nauseated, and so bloated. I can't wait until the first trimester to over. I'm having such weird and vivid dreams. My youngest son told me he had a dream of a baby sister and he was blowing on her belly, I almost cried (yes I'm emotional as well).

I have found just about everything we are wanting to purchase/put on the baby registry, the only thing I'm having a problem with deciding on buying is a diaper bag. If anyone has any thoughts on a diaper bag please feel free to leave a comment. I'm looking for something that is big, lots of pockets, and comes with extras like a big changing pad, and bottle holder to keep the milk cool.

My first dr appt is Mon (and I will be about 10 weeks) and we are all excited. The boys keep asking if they can feel the baby move and I keep telling them not yet. So hopefully seeing the ultrasound and listening to the heart beat will be enough for them right now.

First Toy...?

Well I figure I will try and keep up to my promise and write a new blog once a week here and over at http://gregstwiceasgood.blogspot.com/. So I've looked at tons of baby stuff but never put any real thought into it, wasn't sure I needed it. Well I do now so first things first, the baby's first toy is most likely going to be……. Sophie the Giraffe made by Vulli I'm going to get the set with the plush giraffe and with the teether/baby chew toy. Well I have read reviews since writing this, but before posting it, so I may get Vulli Chan Pie Gnon toy instead, it’s all back up in the air. I thought I had it worked out and settled and was about to make the purchase but decided to do a little more reading and that messed up my whole flow… So instead of just jumping on the newest/coolest/most popular toy out I’m going to read, read, and do some more reading then I’m going to text and message all my friends that recently had a baby and see what they think. So if you have any input, please comment on this blog and give me your .02…

First Choice

Looks Like this is going to be it!
I will be making a list of all the cool baby things as they come to mind, so I can start to buy them in the 2nd trimester. I want all the baby shopping done and in order before the middle of the 3rd trimester. At least for the first half if not the whole first year. We are pretty set on the crib posted in our last blog, so now it’s on to the land of diaper bags, car seats, stroller, high chairs, bottles, pacifiers, clothes, toys and play pens.  I know I'm missing a ton, so please leave a comment and let me know what you have found to be a necessity for your babies first year of life.

Well I'm going to try and to post more, but I'm trying to keep up with two blogs, our business website ElectricCupcakes.com, and a new 40 hour workweek!!! Well that's my time...

Thanks everyone!

Cravings, Cribs, and Pizza OH MY!!!

Well I'm 6 weeks pregnant and feeling good besides the occasional nausea. I'm excited and can not wait until my first doctor’s appt June 6th. The boys are excited and our youngest keeps asking what we are having now I don't think he can wait 5 months. We are all hoping for a baby girl but we will be happy with whatever God blesses us with as long as the baby is happy and healthy.

I'm having some cravings, nothing weird or gross just yet, mainly the normal food cravings. I love pizza and now I'm pregnant it seems I can't get enough pizza especially when it comes from my favorite pizza place "Best NY Pizza". I absolutely love their Mexican Taco Pizza....I’ve craved it everyday for the past week or 2, and have asked to go daily. So this past Thursday he caved in and took me, so I got my craving fulfilled (now I’m over that pizza) and he got their Hawaiian luau pizza. Check my husband’s blog for the review here;

"Hawaiian Luau Pizza from Best NY Pizza"

We have started looking for baby items, so much has changed since I have last done this. We started by looking at crib sets and we have found this one that I absolutely love and it’s a convertible 4 in 1 (crib, toddler bed, day bed, n full size bed).
Be on the lookout for more baby items and other fun baby stuff that we will be talking about in future post! Yes we have names for the baby and colors for the nursery picked for both a girl and for a boy. We are already looking for a bigger place to live, something to accommodate 2 boys and the new baby. Preferably with a big back yard, close to where we live now, and a garage for the husband. We have a few leads to some beautiful homes, but we’re not sure if we want to rent or try and buy one. Plus we still have some time to work out the details.

My husband and I are very excited and can't wait until the day comes for us to see our new baby. So for now we are anxiously awaiting the ultrasound and to hear the heartbeat. We are going to try and take pictures at least once a month to show my progress, and continue for at least the first year of our new baby’s life. Here are the first two pictures of the series. We took the first one and didn’t even know I was pregnant, but the angle worked out fine.
Before I new I was with child, but about a few days.

Just about 5 weeks or so.
So be sure to check back often, cause with us you never know what you might get.
Thanks and Ta Ta for now!

This Is How It Starts

So here we are 10 years into our relationship and 8 years into our marriage and now we’re pregnant! When we met there we already 2 wonderful boys Randy & Marc from a previous relationship, who I (husband) fell in love with and took care of as my own, but now we’re having one of our own. Here we are!

We are about 5 weeks and a few days pregnant we just found out about 4 days ago, the misses just thought she was getting the bug that was going around and with me starting a new job it kinda fit since that always happens, but when aunt flow didn’t happen we had a feeling but she had a weird visit a month or so back (we’re blaming stress). So after a few days and flow was a no show, we went the el cheapo route (remember we’re trying to start a business) and hit up the dollar tree for a test. She wanted to hit the bathroom and find out then, I encouraged her to wait till we got home, it would be less than an hour or so. When we pulled in to the house she was like the wind and soon she was doing the deed and, we had 3 minutes to wait, well almost instantly we saw the faint second line.  The longer the time drew on the darker the line got. I immediately ran to grab the Nikon to snap a few pics of this exciting moment.

As you can see those are some pretty dark lines. We decided what better way to tell everyone then to post it on Facebook and Twitter, but before we did we decided to text her mom and let her be the first to know. I’m still pretty sure some of our friends don’t know but they will figure it out eventually…..

We started saving immediately. We put all of our change and spare cash into an empty Welch’s grape juice bottle… aka “The Baby Fund”. If you want to donate feel free to email me for paypal information….. LoL (but for real email me).

So here we are, on the road to having a baby. That’s the reason for this blog, among other things. To document our journey, our story and just about everything we care to share. I (the husband) have my own blog (gregstwicesasgood.blogspot.com) and the misses has one for our business (blog.electriccupcakes.com). So why not add a third to the mix, as if writing for 2 blogs plus all the other stuff we have going on isn’t enough. Well please check back often we hope to update at least once maybe twice a week, or whenever something new happens with the peanut (baby)…..

Ps. Here is the misses about 3 or 4 days pregnant (we didn’t know at the time this pic was snapped), be on the look out for the whole series of these to come..
